Staff Promotions Protocol

So you wanna be promoted?

  • Quarter-Staff
    • Must be a member of our site for at least three months and can be recommended by any Full-Staff of that given team.
    • Must answer basic questions regarding the specific Team's functionality. This is to be considered "Application."
      • Via Private Messaging from that team's TL Admin.
      • TL Admins will decide what the basic questions are. Please limit this to between three and five questions.
      • One of these questions should be asking what they've done for previous websites.
    • Must not have any Disciplinary Actions taken against them within the previous six months. [Membership shorter than this period is acceptable down to the requisite three months.]
    • Promotion must be approved by that Team's TL Admin, and one other TL Admin.
  • Half-Staff
    • Can be promoted out of Quarter-Staff by way of recommendation in as little time as one week if they prove that they can be productive members of the Half-Staff.
    • Must answer more advanced questions regarding the specific Team's Functionality.
      • Provisions to this are as above for questions regarding Quarter-Staff.
      • For (WM-TL) — Must write a short story, ~1,200 words. Nothing silly, please.
    • Must be able to perform all tasks required of this position in regards to that specific Team.
    • Must accept the responsibility1 of having "Staff Post - " privileges.
    • Must accept the responsibility2 of being granted access to the Command Center.
    • Promotion must be approved by no less than a 60% majority vote from all active members of Full-Staff and higher.
  • Full-Staff
    • Can be promoted out of Half-Staff by way of approved recommendation from that team's TL Admin.
    • Must be able to lead Half-Staff and Quarter-Staff members of their Subteams.
    • Must be able to pass up information to that Team's TL Admin and vice versa.
    • Must accept the responsibility3 of having the ability to vote on Deletions.
    • Must accept the responsibility4 of having advanced "Staff Post - " privileges.
    • Promotion must be approved by 60% vote from all active members of Full-Staff and higher
  • TL Admins
    • Can be promoted only from Full-Staff at the approval of all active Core Admins, and the Prime Admin.
      • This will be documented in Offsite Record Keeping.
    • Must be interviewed either in-person, by phone, or by video call via Skype, Facetime, Facebook Messenger, or other available Video/VoIP service.
    • Promotion to TL Admin requires the following:
      • The ability to handle all responsibilities of Half- to Full-Staff.
      • Intimate knowledge of the established rules, policies, and structure of the sites themselves.
      • Must work well with others.
      • Must work well as a leader.
      • Must accept accountability for his or her own actions and the actions of his or her Team.
      • Must be able to handle criticism, no matter what.
