Timers

This is a link to the SCP Foundation's Timers.
Timers are your (dead) friends.
We have been given permission to use, sparingly, the timer code from the Foundation site from CrayneCrayne.

Please, only use these timers for Deletions. It's very straightforward in programming. When you click into the link, select "Generic." In the "Timer Text to Display" input box, type "Deletion Vote," make sure "Start Timer Now" is set to yes, and tick the selector for 24 hours.

You should have something like this:

Timer%20Help.png

Now click "Generate Timer Code," and it'll spit out a block of code at you.

Code output will look like this:

[[iframe http://ferryfm13.thirteen.axc.nl/scp/timers/getTimer.php?timestamp=1477667365717&type=2&text=Deletion%20Vote style="width: 500px; height: 60px; border: 0;"]]

Copy/Paste the output code into a New Post in the Discussion for that particular page. Do not do this as a Reply, please. Title the new post with "Staff Post — Deletion Vote." Before posting, please also type "Beginning Deletion Vote at" and provide the current rating of that page at the time of posting the Deletion Vote itself. [We are currently working on Forum Templates for things like this. Once done, it will be at the bottom of the page.]

Once finished, you should have something what looks like this:

Timer%20Help%20R.png

When using one of the above-mentioned timers, copy and paste the following code under the timer, please:

[]Timer used with permission from [] from the [http://scp-wiki.net SCP Foundation].[]

This will read out as:

Timer used with permission from Crayne from the SCP Foundation.

For all other timers, please use WebCountdown. They have set-date timers.

Further writing will be done on this page to explain what to use timers for and, more specifically, when to use them and how long to set them for.
